7P Overland & Expedition Skills: Learn Your Vehicle

For off-pavement overland or expedition travel, we typically choose four-wheel-drive vehicles. It sounds simple, but what does that actually mean? In this class we cover four-wheel-drive systems from simple to advanced, starting with differentials and including various traction technologies like traction control, differential locks and the new world of electric motor drive. In addition we cover the different suspension technologies that help keep the drive wheels on the ground. Typically we get a large selection of student vehicles that we can use as examples of all the various systems and technologies.
