Death Valley, CA – Foundation Overland & Expeditionary Driving Course.
This January, we’re excited to partner with Four Points Adventures to bring you a unique training experience surrounded by the incredible scenery of California’s Death Valley.
Spend 2 days / 3 nights with us on an all-inclusive basis as we take you through our Foundation “Overland and Expeditionary Driving” course with NPTC Qualification.
On completing this course you’ll have a good understanding of four-wheel drive systems, basic maintenance, off-highway driving techniques, route selection, basic vehicle recovery, driving on different surfaces and safe winching operations. On successful completion of the optional assessment, you’ll qualify for the “City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Off-Road Driving” and receive a certificate and ID card.
You’ll have plenty of 1:1 in-vehicle time with your instructor – a great opportunity to discuss all aspects of off-road and overland travel. We also share a campsite and our meals, for more informal discussions around the campfire and over our prepared dinner and drinks. With our experienced team and new friends, you’ll hear some fantastic stories – the downside being that you’ll want to travel more…
We’ll provide all camping accomodation, a choice of food and drink for 2 days and 3 nights. Your accomodation will be comfortable, safari-style roof-top tents with comfortable mattresses. Camp chairs and tables, and all utensils are provided.
You’ll need to bring good outdoor clothing (the temperature will range from a low of 32°F / 0C at night and up to 70°F / 20C during the day), bathroom kit, sleeping bag (0-15°F / approx. -10C rating) and a headlamp.
Ideally you should bring your own vehicle but we can arrange one for you. We always recommend that you bring your own vehicle as there’s no better way to safely explore its limits in a controlled environment and build your own experience and level of comfort.
We are passionate about small-group travel and to make the most of the 1:1 instruction, this trip is limited to 6 vehicles.
12th – 15th January, 2018 – 2 days / 3 nights. $2,500
Let us know the kind of training you're interested in, and we'll keep you in the loop with our newsletter.
